About the Role

VanGATE is looking for a skilled Installation Technician to install, service, and maintain garage doors, gates, access control systems, and automation equipment throughout the Lower Mainland. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and delivering high-quality service to customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Install residential, commercial, and industrial door and gate systems.
• Install and configure gate operators, access control systems, and automation equipment.
• Perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Read and interpret installation drawings and technical documentation.
• Ensure all installations meet safety standards and company quality requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing the VanGATE brand.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in good condition.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand and power tools.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work both indoors and outdoors.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Experience with garage doors, gates, electrical systems, or automation equipment is an asset.
