The limit switches can be either magnetic (with sensors integrated into the electronic control board for the 230 Volt version) or electromechanical with microswitches and springs protected by the cover in ABS.

The emergency release system is operated simply by pulling the lever in front of the motor housing, the lever is protected by a key lock.
